It feels such an indulgence to have taken annual leave in the middle of the semester…but it is also so lush that the stars (and timetables) aligned in such a way as to allow us to celebrate fourteen years since our day on the beach at Playa del Carmen together. He is my rock.

Ecstatic to have seen students in my first class of the academic year fully engaged with the 3-minute ‘fill a flash-card’ freewrite-by-hand task at the end of the session. Lovely to see/learn they saw the benefit and are now open to a repeat each coming week ❤️ 👏🏻🎉 #BuildingAStudentWritingHabit

1/2 It’s interesting planning a module entitled ‘Adolescent Development and Behaviour’ whilst also living with/attempting to parent one (pondering on loop, ‘well, I wonder what fun new stage of this relationship will be experienced this week…’!) Might have to incorporate some parental perspectives…
