With about a minute left and not pressured the Oilers just dump the puck to centre and defend. It made no sense. Make a pass, rush the puck and dump it in the zone and forecheck! The Oilers go into a ridiculous defensive posture that is so conservative and ridiculous. It’s bad coaching

Going to focus on the positive. Savoie is really starting to come on. Making some really nice plays, and offence starting to come. Roslovic was a steal at 1.5 million. He’s a good hockey player that shoots the puck. When Nuge and Hyman come back the Oilers can ice a deep top six.

Really the Oilers were lucky it was offside but on the other hand the Flyers were lucky to be in that game at all after that 2nd period.

How ‘bout calling out the refs? Every replay @sportsmet.bsky.social showed regarding the Flyers “intimidating” McDavid was an obvious penalty.

McDavid was Sensational for the 1st time this season. He’s been good but not sensational. That changed tonight.

Remember a few years ago the Oilers had started terribly and I can’t remember how many they were down 2 or 3 to the Rangers and they found a way to win that game and they never looked back. Could this be that game?
