Everyone should have the chance to sit in first class on a plane once in their lives so they can experience the looks of absolute disgust that people give you as they walk by. The others have clearly deemed me unworthy of these seats. Don’t know how people do this regularly?! It’s uncomfortable!

I’m sorry but do people start Elf on the Shelf Nov 1 because with all due respect that makes me want to barf

I just read that Dolly Parton is unwell and I don’t think I could handle us losing Dolly right now! Ahhhhhh

I’m reading The Nightingale and I wonder if when @kristin-hannah.bsky.social wrote she imagined people seeing such parallels in modern life. If you aren’t terrified, you aren’t paying attention.

I love how I don’t eat breakfast unless it’s free and then I eat allllll the breakfast. Never met a breakfast buffet I didn’t devour.

@worldsbeyondnumber.bsky.social - looking to chat with someone from the pod re: Clue! Sent a IG DM too.

@seejanemarie.bsky.social - I’ve been bingeing recent Dream episodes and literally every episode spurs at least one long and intense conservation with someone. So good. 10/10. No notes. (Also love magic, fyi)

I keep getting served up these “airlines hate ChatGPT because I got this $2k flight for $200” and then they explain that they took 8 connections on weird budget airlines and left 3 weeks later than planned and vacationed for one night before heading home. Pass.

@realgdt.bsky.social - my seven year old is a quirky bird in the most beautiful and wonderful way. He is obsessed with “bad guys” and monsters and he’s always creating. When you are next in Toronto, if we can buy you coffee, I want him to see that the world in his head can lead him to great things!

@donhopkins.bsky.social - on a desperate search to introduce my son to Sim City 1989-1991 edition and casting a WIDE net on how to do that. Not just willing to pay, but WANT to pay. The memories I have of that game are worth their weight in gold.

According to the InStyle newsletter I’m somehow signed up for, a LOT of celebrities usher in seasons with controversial clothing.

I’m so obsessed with these. All the crypto bros hyping these around inauguration - look at the crashes! Not such a great investment now is it?!

Every now and then I’m just going to write things like “sorry I’ve been quiet lately on here” as if I have legions of fans waiting my next pearl of wisdom.

Guys I just invented a song called “I’m cold and I’m grumpy” and I don’t want to suggest that it’s the best song ever but it’s def top ten

HOW IS THIS REAL?!?
February 15, 2025 at 2:25 AM
I alternate between finding this all funny, and then being terrified at what it could become. I don’t want to be the 51st state. I don’t want war. I don’t want to be in opposition. And I have read enough history to know those things aren’t impossible.

What’s the difference between a gov controlling an algorithm, silently eliminating reach for things it doesn’t like, vs the same gov using its power, to demand that the platform remove the things it doesn’t like.?

In China they are overt. With TikTok in the US, they control silently

If you’re still on TikTok after all that Trump love you probably deserve to be controlled by the Chinese governments sketchy algorithms.

@bicyclebaskets.bsky.social @amyayers.bsky.social had to screen grab the top of my feed! How’s this for proof that BlueSky attracts all types?!? ;)

Someone with more time than me needs to create a forum where you can ask a group of librarians if a book exists - but not publicly in case your goal is to then write said book. #librarians #books #writing (do we hashtag here?)

Social media algorithms are hilarious because they give you a click-bait posts where you click to find out what it’s about, then whatever it was about, they serve you a MILLION TRILLION more of those posts, even though you only clicked on it in the first place because you didn’t KNOW what it was.

@99pi.org @romanmars.bsky.social - this Mini Story on the snooze button COULD NOT BE MORE TIMELY for us. Ooooooh boy. (I’m the guilty party - snooze-a-holic over here!)
