Salts Mill in Saltaire, West #Yorkshire, is a prime example of Victorian industrial #architecture, built in 1868. Its distinct chimney adds an Italianate touch to the landscape.

The Royal Vauxhall Tavern in London has been a historic LGBTQ+ venue since the mid-20th century. Built between 1860 and 1862, it became significant post-World War II for hosting drag performances and social gatherings. In 2015, it was designated as Grade II listed.

Rye Windmill in East Sussex is a Grade II listed smock mill. Though the original burned down in 1930, its rebuilt shell still tells the story of Rye’s milling past.

The windmill now welcomes guests as a B&B. Have you ever stayed here?

A decision on Network Rail’s proposed redevelopment of #LiverpoolStreetStation could be made soon. The scheme would harm this historic station and subject passengers to a decade of disruption, while offering limited benefits & no improvements to train services.

The Grade I Moot Hall in Aldeburgh, #Suffolk, is a true #architectural treasure. Built in 1520, extended in 1654 and restored in 1854, its striking gables and historic staircase tell the story of a town shaped by centuries of change, and by the sea that has claimed much of #medieval Aldeburgh.

From priory to royal home to RAF HQ, Bentley Priory has shaped history. During the Battle of Britain, it was the nerve centre of Fighter Command. Today, its #architecture, gardens, and stories of courage and vision still inspire.

St James Priory, Bristol, a Grade I listed former church and part of a Benedictine monastery founded in 1129.

We visited in 2024 and were struck by its incredible architecture and enduring story.

Cardiff Castle is a striking example of Victorian Gothic Revival, reconstructed for the 3rd Marquess of Bute by William Burges in the 19th century. Highlights include the exquisite Arab Room in the Herbert Tower, considered one of Burges’s masterpieces, and the intricate windows of the Banquet Hall.

56 Artillery Lane, Spitalfields, is thought to be the oldest Georgian shopfront in London, dating to around 1756. A true architectural gem!

No. 56 High Street, #Southampton, is a surprising sight with its richly ornamented, Grade II listed building from the late 19th century. Its design, inspired by Flemish #architecture, features a playful façade with fruit motifs, reflecting the building's commercial history.

Step through history at Grade I listed Exchequergate, #Lincoln’s striking medieval gatehouse. Dating from the mid-14th century, it once formed part of the walls protecting the Cathedral precincts and housed rented shops beneath its arches.

St John’s, #Bemerton, showcases a unique artistic juxtaposition at its East End, where O'Connor's East Window (1860) contrasts with Eleanor Warre's Art Nouveau-style reredos (c.1905/1917) featuring medlar trees. A proposal to relocate the reredos was rejected by HB&P, affirming its celebrated place.
