According to Swedish Television News the vessel Vezhen which was detained by Swedish Authorities in connection with suspected underwater cable sabotage, has been released after an investigation revealed it was a combination of weather, faulty equipment and poor seamanship not sabotage caused the cut

According to Swedish Television News another vessel has been stopped in connection with the cutting of an underwater cable in the Baltic. It passed the break-point almost at the same time as the previously apprehended vessel 'Vezhen'. It is Norwegian-owned but with an all-Russian crew.

According to Swedish Television News an underwater cable in the Baltic Sea between Gotland (a Swedish island) and Latvia has been cut. Sabotage is suspected and a Maltese-flagged vessel, Vezhen, has been stopped and boarded by the Swedish coastguard. The Vezhen had sailed from a Russian port.

According to Swedish Television News, Swedish authorities have not yet reached any conclusions about the cause of the three incidents of internet cable cutting in the Baltic. They dismiss the articles in the Washington Post that the breaks are a result of accidents. Sabotage has not been ruled out.

According to Swedish Television News, NATO is planning to increase its naval presence in the Baltic to protect the underwater infrastructure. This ”Enhanced Vigilance Activity” is expected to go on for several months to include naval and aerial units. Suspect vessels will be tracked with help of AI.

According to Swedish Television News, Finnish Authorities have stopped the Russian tanker Eagle S from leaving since inspections have shown 32 faults with the vessel, three of which are sufficiently serious to stop the ship from sailing. Faults include ventilation, navigation and fire equipment.

According to Swedish Television News the Eagle 3, suspected of sabotaging communication cable Estlink 2 in the Baltic, is still in Finnish waters without its anchor. A specially equipped Swedish ship has located and retrieved the anchor. Eight crew members are suspected of involvement in the crime.

According to Swedish Television News, Finnish police have seized the 'Russian' tanker Eagle S, believed to be responsible for severing the electricity cable Estlink 2 between Finland and Estland. The tanker is suspected of dragging its anchor for about 60 miles. It is at anchor near Borgå, Helsinki.

According to Swedish Television News, the ship suspected of cutting underwater internet cables in the Baltic Sea, the Yi Peng 3, left Danish water on 21st December heading for Egypt. The Swedish State Prosecutor had been refused permission to go onboard.

To those wondering: #YiPeng3 is still stationery, going on day 14. A Danish and German ship is still babysitting it, with the Swedish coastguard near by.
According to China, they are cooperating with local authorities, however Yi Peng 3 has NOT entered Swedish waters as requested by Sweden and DK.

According to Swedish Television News the cutting of the internet cable on land in Finland was actually an accident caused by a digger and not sabotage as previously reported.

According to Swedish Television News there has been two new internet cables cut connecting Finland and Sweden. This time it has taken place on land in Finland. Sabotage is suspected. Who could possibly be responsible?

According to Swedish Television News, Sweden has sent some seaweed into space. To feed aliens of aqueous origin you may suggest, but no, it's a research project. No doubt Russia will keep a close eye on it, in case it may have nefarious purposes.

China has agreed with relevant countries to cooperate with the investigation into the suspicion that the vessel Yi Peng 3 cut data cables in the Baltic according to Swedish Television News. The Wall Street Journal suspects the vessel deliberately dragged its anchor along the bottom as much as 160km.

A Swedish Television News team is now near the Chinese ship at anchor in the Kattegatt, a stretch of water between Sweden and Denmark. They have succeeded in speaking with a person they believe to be the captain, but have only received 'no comment' answers regarding the cutting of internet cables.

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has requested the Chinese ship Yi Peng 3, which is still at anchor in the Danish Economic Zone, to move into Swedish waters in order to make co-operation easier regarding the enquiry into the cutting of internet cables in the Baltic Sea.

Swedish Television News says the Chinese ship Yi Peng 3 remains in a stationary stretch of sea between Sweden and Denmark whilst diplomatic negotiations continue. The current aim is to be able to gain access to the vessel in order to investigate how two internet cables in the Baltic were severed.

According to Swedish Television News the Chinese ship, Yi Peng 3, suspected of cutting underwater internet cables in the Baltic, is currently stationary in Danish Economic Zone waters. It has been there since Tuesday, being guarded by both Danish and Swedish coastguards. Investigations are ongoing.

Two underwater internet cables connecting Sweden-Lithuania and Finland-Germany have been cut in the Baltic Sea according to Swedish Television News. A Chinese ship was found to be at both cutting points at the times the cables were cut. Sabotage seems most likely, but why?
