Not saying my science world is small but just got named on a paper along with someone I still hold a grudge against because he dingied me for a job in 2004

Listening to Radio 3's breakfast show on demand here and trying to imagine the fragrant life I would live if I were the sort of person who listened to Radio 3 at breakfast time

I can see why this is bloody dangerous but what worries me is that people are going to read "mirror molecules" and then asymmetric chemistry is going to be in the social media firing line

‘Unprecedented risk’ to life on Earth: Scientists call for halt on ‘mirror life’ microbe research
Experts warn that mirror bacteria, constructed from mirror images of molecules found in nature, could put humans, animals and plants at risk of lethal infections

That feeling where you've managed to get your massively complicated glovebox reaction screen on by 2pm and you're now physically and mentally spent but m still have 2 hours to work

Other half, currently back in the UK for a conference, with less than a month to Christmas, texts "I'm near a Waitrose" and then leaves me on read for 40 minutes and counting. Can anyone relate?

I've got crisps, "juice", two big massive cushions from Ikea at my back and I am living my absolute best life. God I love recovering from covid.
