Hatfield Town Council notes the news from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government with regard to the quarry at Ellenbrook.

We will be studying the proposal to reopen the public inquiry and liaison with stakeholders to understand the impact on local residents.

Hatfield Town Council's annual Remembrance Day parade and service will be taking place on Sunday 9th November.

Parade: 10.30am (from the front of Hatfield House)
Service: 10.50am (Memorial Gardens)

We are disappointed to report that a safety surface has been vandalised at Tiger Moth Way play area.

As with cases such as this, the cost of these necessary safety repairs will be taken from the town council's maintenance budget, affecting plans to improve facilities elsewhere.

It was great to see the people of Endymion Road host a VE Day celebration at the weekend, funded in part by our street party grant, made available to residents, community groups and not-for-profit organisations.

The May Fayre returns again to Newgate Street in a couple of weeks, featuring an afternoon of fun with a range of games, rides, tug of war, a dog show, and of course the may pole!
