But there's SO MUCH AI art in the materials for it, I'm expecting the same will be true with the games. No thanks for that. I want art to be a human connection for me. In words, audio, and visuals.

We need a service here where we can give it a post ID, and it will drop a well worded PSA about bad Alt Text (not describing the image, but making comments/jokes), without putting ourselves in a confrontation or risk coming across as something other than trying to be helpful.

Lego Batman may well be my favorite Batman movie (though it couldn't exist without the others). I especially love that while it does have Voldemort, he's voiced by a trans person (Suzy Izzard)!

What's up with the trend of commercials from big corps showing someone made up to look like a small town musician jamming at a campfire or in their apartment, but like they just show up and start singing a calm song about 'nationwide is on your side' or some shit... Not new but weird!

So this is what Coleco (current owners suck) think when backers ask for details about mini-arcades they wanted backing for on Kickstarter. They never answered questions and removed some backers who asked. They did normal stuff like huge hidden shipping charges and not updating the project much.

I watch a lot of classic TV, like 50s-80s, leaning earlier.
I find it interesting that even a goofy sitcom, popular with the masses, for example "Car 54, Where are You?" has things like scenes from Pagliacci as dreams, and the common public just got it...
Lot of high brow references in goofy stuff.

I remember when it was 2 years away from the 40th anniversary of WWII ending and the NES was about to hit the US in 2 years as well (though I didn't know that). Now we're 2 years away from the 40th anniversary of the NES being in the US!

@superselena64.bsky.social Not sure who else might know haha - any idea how these worked? Allows PS2 games to work as active-shutter 3D on CRT. Only works with some games, with different levels of how good (kinda like Nvidia 3D did). How do they get a PS2 to do that with no boot disc etc?

Considering game consoles sold widely at retail in the US - if you ask someone to choose between the last 8-bit console or the first 16-bit console, what do you think most would choose based on that?
Ultimately, they are choosing between Turbografx-16 (1989, 8-bit), and Intellivision (1979, 16-bit).

I don't like the behavior of progress bars in general but get they are tricky things to predict. However, ones that go backwards then forward again really piss me off...
