A new imaging study by the Turku PET Centre in Finland showed that listening to favorite music affects the function of the brain’s opioid system. It was found that favourite music influenced opioid release in several brain areas associated with the experience of pleasure.

How similar are criminal, pathological, and everyday aggression in the brain? We decided to figure this out with a large-scale (n = 28 968) meta-analysis. The answer? Strikingly so! Preprint out now:
