Hmmm, it seems Elon Musk is now on Bluesky. Why would he follow my little page, with just 9 followers? I subsequently blocked him.

Is he eyeing Bluesky to take that over, too, or to spy on the opposition? I can't imagine he has any good intentions.

Love your library? Love history? Celebrate America's 250th by visiting the 9 libraries along the Knox Trail. And get a patch when you're finished. Pick up a brochure and sticker at a participating library (see comments). It was fun for me seeing these libraries, each different from the other.

I love summer, but autumn is becoming my favorite time of year for weddings. Yesterday afternoon I played harp for a relaxed, enjoyable wedding at the Old Catskill Game Farm. As you can see, it was a gorgeous day!

Autumn weddings are often the most beautiful. Here are pictures from yesterday's late-afternoon ceremony and cocktail hour at Park-McCullough Mansion in North Bennington, Vermont. The historic home has 35 rooms and 17 fireplaces, and now stands on 200 acres.

Oh boy, what a beautiful afternoon for a wedding in Old Forge!

Yesterday's 5th Anniversary party at Cedarbrook Village in Ware, MA, took residents around the world with food and decorations . . . and harp music! What a fun evening.

Had to share a picture of my beautiful little girl. It's rare she'll sit still long enough for me to take a clear shot. Rats do love to run around!

I wanted to share with you this vow renewal ceremony (20 years!) I played for on the wide back lawn of the Fort William Henry Hotel in Lake George yesterday. It was rather windy, but the sun made it beautiful. As a bonus, we got to see the Minne Ha-Ha paddle on by!

Here's one more from the outdoor yoga class. During the final resting pose ("corpse pose"), I was playing O'Carolan's "Bridget Cruise, Third Air."

Again, thanks to Ruth for recording this video.

I played harp last week for my friend's outdoor yoga class. "She Moved Through the Fair" during Moon Salutation. It was a beautiful location and I enjoyed the experience.
Thanks to Ruth for this recording.

Had some musical fun while visiting a friend in PA. She kindly made this recording of me playing an excerpt from Debussy's Clair de Lune. I hope you enjoy.

Wedding ceremony this afternoon at The Sablewood at Highview Springs in Schoharie, NY. The owner has put her heart into this venue, and it shows. The staff was so helpful and kind, something that is notable because it isn't always so. If the photographer sends any pictures of me, I'll share them.

I did not know this until the ceremony was over. My harp was a surprise by the groom for his lovely bride. She knew nothing of it until she heard the music as she was approaching the gazebo! I was so touched to be a part of that.

Yesterday afternoon's wedding was at one of the more picturesque places I've ever played. Stone Garden in Westmoreland, NH, along the Connecticut River. Fantasy-themed weddings are always fun.

Hi everyone! During last Sunday's wedding ceremony up in northern Vermont, I played one song in memory of the bride's stepfather on the small harp he'd built. It was a sweet moment for everyone.

This was one of the more stunning backdrops to a wedding I have experienced in my years of playing harp. No pictures of me, but I wanted to share one I took during the ceremony. It was chilly up there, but so pretty! @burkemountainvt.bsky.social

Music for a funeral service at St. Rose of Lima in South Hero, Vermont. Sad occasion, but a beautiful service and lovely day. I love spring.
Oh, and also, I took a picture of how I move everything around. 😑

A pleasant afternoon spent playing harp for the Mothers' Day tea at Cedarbrook Village in Ware, MA. And the sun finally came out!
Happy Mothers' Day to all of you!

Live from the Music Room: Art After Hours at The Hyde Collection in Glens Falls on April 17. What a lovely museum, and a gorgeous space. Definitely worth a visit when you're in the area.
