Trouble is autistic people, much like high level Scientologists, often think they’re the only ones that see the truth and that can save the world, assume no one else has been seriously tasked with the job. Evidence usually backs this up unfortunately

Anyway the world seems to be descending into molten hell but there’s never been a time when I didn’t also think this so I should really relax

My problem is after I watched berserk I strongly identified with gatsu and judged his level of spiritual armor, isolation, shame, regret and trauma based detachment to be completely appropriate, relatable

On not knowing I had autism:
as a youth I started to develop fantasy worlds early on in which I could pretend to inhabit while dissociating from my own depression/anxiety. I became frustrated easily, growing tired of each one I made, always wanting to move on to next idea. But this became tiresome

Also realizing that apart from cool spaceship aesthetic, pretty low key bummed that the philosophy, politics, plots and science of star wars didn’t scale as I aged
January 5, 2026 at 10:28 PM
I still want to be a greebler but am at a disadvantage due to carpal tunnel, dyspraxia, poor eyesight, tactile/sensory issues, lack of available studio space, and not having a few thousand plastic model tank & spaceship kits to cannibalize.

Also; autistic people, while we might be slow to reach certain thresholds, and have childhoods characterized by pronounced deficiencies, we are also dogged, determined, and committed to overcoming obstacles, often work all our lives to build up the features we found initial deficit in. Huge swings.
January 5, 2026 at 10:12 PM
A lot of people have misconceptions about autism, only see the functions of being developmentally delayed as a child, dont allow for the idea that while development can be slowed, it doesn’t stop. We continue to adapt as we become adult and beyond. Much of this is wild swings between opposites.

Cat vs tinfoil video except the cat jumps (unaware) on the tinfoil, bounces off with incredible energy, then just freezes and hangs in the air, the wall and ceiling around it begin to glitch, flicker. “Now you’ve done it” says the cat, angrily. The glowing cracks appear, widen. Reality dissolves.

Being a heavily urbanized population also presents challenges to occupation, just as the soviets found out during the Chechen wars. Canada’s cities are filled the high rises and millions of weaponizable plastic chairs, empty bottles, boogie sculptures
January 5, 2026 at 1:06 AM
The other thing about occupying Canada, apart from how challenging the first few hundred kilometres are, is how hard basic logistics becomes after that, something that we have only barely managed with extensive networks of coffee & donut shops and makeshift barely usable “roads”
January 5, 2026 at 1:01 AM
I personally am not worried about Canada being invaded because I quite simply believe that we can make invasion so utterly boring they will immediately give up

So seepless in Seattle is a very positive outcome for obsessive stalking
January 4, 2026 at 9:41 PM
Logically I know Meg Ryan isn’t really driving a car in Seattle, and even if she were, it’s unlikely she would get into a fatal accident and still have it included in a movie.

But still when she looks away from the road I panic shout “watchamitchiyurkawalla”
Which means watch the road I think. (?)

Weird that trump pressures other nato members to increase military spending but is willing to declare war on/ annex a nato member, seems unclear on concept, wonder if anyone has explained this to him (recently)

When I went home last time & tine before that, I had a weird observation; I kept knocking things over, unexpectedly having obstructed arcs for when I (apparently) flail my arms around. I spent a while baby proofing the place and removing vases from counters. After a half dozen time I was like wtf?
