If you are reading this alt text because you are blind or something like that, please add a comment to this artwork and i will describe the artwork to you in a personal message. Alt text is something new social medias add on their website, but i doubt that anyone visually impaired is actually interested in knowing what the hell is depicted in a drawing. You can't see it anyways, right? So should i just write "its art" or should i go more into detail? When i imagine myself blind and going on social media for some reason (i'm only here because of art) then i would be fine if the alt text just said "it's art". I can't see it anyways, so what use is a description to me? I would rather drink tea or pet a cat instead of knowing whatever pixels on a screen are displaying. You know, go outside, talk to people. Talk to family... stuff like that. So yeah, i hope this text made you feel something, preferable something nice. I doubt that anyone actually blind will read this. But hey, i tried. I think i'm just gonna be really low effort with the alt text from now on. There are maybe 2-5 people viewing my art in any case, it's not like i need to consider my huge audience. You know, while we are at it, social media work is work. You would think people who create wonderful art would get rewarded. My work was never really rewarded on social media. Don't get me wrong, i think it's amazing that over 1k people have followed me accross (now dead) social medias, but that happened in the span of 10 years or more. Active followers? I doubt that i have more than 100. Even 50 sounds like a stretch. It's kinda depressing and probably a reason why i haven't made any art in the past 5 years. Combined with actual depression, but i imagine i would have continued creating if the reward was more than a cough and a sneeze. I apologize, you are blind and are now listening to me ramble about stuff. Have a good day.

This is reminding me of how it's also frustrating that 世界の真ん中の木 (The Tree in the Middle of the World), by Makiko Futaki hasn't got an English language edition 😢. I wish a publisher would come along and start releasing some of these.
