Today is the day you should finally do it, no excuses, and take up Bachelard's work and start reading
#OTD, the French philosopher Gaston Bachelard was born—a foundational figure in 20th-century French thought and historical epistemology. Bachelard’s #philsci stands out as an early attempt to conceptualize the role of instruments and technology in the production of knowledge. 1/ #philtech

Georges Canguilhem, the French philosopher, was born on this day in 1904. Although he is best known for his work in the philosophy of biology and medicine, Canguilhem was also a profound thinker about technology.

Have you ever wondered what French biological philosophy of technology is? What about the differences between a critical theory of technology and a phenomenology of technology?

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die.

Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.
