Today, I embark on a journey as a Visiting Scholar at the Centro Studi Politici "Hannah Arendt" -- University of Verona, Italy. I will spend the month of October completing the co-edited "Elgar Companion to Hannah Arendt," a 25-chapter anthology.

Dare I say that Arendt is more relevant than ever.

“So this is my radical proposal for universities: Act like universities, not like businesses. Spend your endowments. Accept more, not fewer students. Open up your campuses and expand your reach not by buying real estate but by bringing education to communities. Create a base. Become a movement.”

It’s been tried in other countries facing authoritarian crackdowns. It works.

Nothing to see here, folks.
Just six unidentified men (no uniforms, faces covered by masks) forcibly taking a woman off a public street, apparently against her will.

She is #RumeysaOzturk, a student at #Tufts.
The men are apparently Federal agents.
And this is the nation in which we now live.
Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.

They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.

7th and 8th grade students showing critical thinking skills absent in much of the electorate
EOs on language, education, and climate have a profound impact on students’ lives.

Therefore, young people should be invited to read & critique them. The Hillsdale 1776 Curriculum also merits critical attention.
