急に寒くなってきました｡

ジャガイモや里芋の剥いた皮を､時々菜園の隅に埋めているのですが､こちらは里芋のセレベスです｡

昨年末に､お節料理用に剥いた皮を埋めたのですが､春に芽が出て何とか育ちました｡手前の葉が黄色くなり始めたので､霜が降りる前に収穫してみました｡

少し早かったようですが､皮からですので嬉しいです｡親芋はきんぴらに､小芋は煮物にしようと思います｡
里芋のセレベスです｡年末に剥いた皮を菜園の隅に埋めたら春に芽が出て､葉が黄色くなり始めたので霜が降りる前に収穫してみました｡

The 'Shibukawa-ni' I made yesterday is a traditional Japanese chestnut compote. It takes a lot of time, but it's so delicious that I make it every year.

夏野菜も終わり菜園を耕し始めています｡玄関脇では大好きな秋明菊が咲き始め､ようやく秋を感じています｡

昨日は秋の味覚の栗を2kg頂戴し､今日は栗剥きから始まりました｡

大きなものは4cmぐらいあり､毎年恒例の渋皮煮を作りました｡残りは栗ご飯にしたいと思います｡

今日は小雨が降ったり止んだりしています｡

数日前から､菜園やハーブコーナーの込み入ったところを切り戻したり株分けしたりと､秋に向けての作業をしています｡かなりスッキリしてきました｡

残すところ､この辺りだけとなりました｡この作業が済んでから､追加で幾つか一年草をお迎えしたいと思っています｡

今日はいくらか涼しく感じます｡

植えてから30年近く経つオリーブの木です｡1本しか植えていないので､これまで実が生ることはありませんでした｡

伸び過ぎた枝を払ったら､その中にこの枝がありました｡実が付いているとは想いも寄らず､思いがけないプレゼントを貰ったようで嬉しく思いました｡

近所のお庭にもオリーブの木があるので､花粉が風で飛んできたのかもしれません｡実がとても可愛らしく､オリーブの苗木をもう1本お迎えしようかと考えています｡
