How is it not considered taxation without representation at this point?

Our country needs fresh minds. We need everyday people who’ve experienced everyday problems. Even if you don’t think you have anything to contribute, you do. Starting late is better than never starting at all.

Massive billionaire corporations shouldn’t have a hand in the government. They support whoever ensures their best interests, not the people. Running a company does not make you fit to run a country

Common Authoritarian tactics include, but are not limited to: inciting or approving of political violence, rejecting democratic principles, questioning the legitimacy of those opposing them, deliberately dividing a population, and instilling fear as a method of control.

I may not have influence now, but I won’t stop working towards it. History remembers the climbers, not those born at the summit. The steepest climb offers the clearest view, and while the opposition may control today's game, tomorrow's rules are still being written.

In these next years we must remember to have compassion for everyone. Especially when the current administration is showing compassion to no one. Standing together and building a solid foundation is how we will get through this. Together, not divided.

Spreading disinformation isn’t simply delusional, it’s also dangerous. Allowing people to believe fallacies that directly threaten the safety of others is unacceptable. This cannot continue

Those who support Trump are so misguided that they think they can simultaneously “back the blue” and also celebrate the pardoning of the Jan. 6 insurrectionists, despite them brutally attacking police officers

Things that shouldn’t be argued against:
1) Everyone deserves medical care
2) Everyone deserves to be fed
3) Everyone deserves to be housed
4) Everyone deserves to be educated
5) Everyone deserves to feel safe in their everyday life.

And yes, I mean EVERYONE

Despite all the anger and contempt many people rightfully hold towards his supporters, it’s important to remember that we will remain stagnant if all we focus on it fueling that hate. We need to harness these feelings and use them to push forward and rise above. Calm, collected, calculated.

People aren’t born hating their neighbor. They’re taught to through fear tactics, lies, and manipulation. If we cut off their false narrative, their web of misinformation falls apart.

When it comes to a movement, every little bit counts.
Whether it’s sharing your voice, sharing a post, sharing your time, or sharing your money, contributing to a cause you believe in will not go unappreciated.

Today and every day we can draw inspiration from Martin Luther King Jr.’s teachings. The one that stands out the most to me today is the Urgency of Now. We don’t have the luxury of patience. Like he once said “Justice too long delayed, is justice denied”

MLK Jr. day falling on the same day as the inauguration is a disturbing reality.

How can we remember someone who was so educated, compassionate, and groundbreaking as MLK while simultaneously swearing in someone who is the exact opposite of that?

We should be electing people like MLK

What is happening now has happened before.

A common tactic in history was to redirect the populous towards much more insignificant issues to divert attention from internal structural problems, most commonly economic inequality and political repression.

Sound familiar?
