I'm not sure how I go from insomnia every night one week to barely staying awake at 7:00 PM the next.

Pretending we are safe
From change and its dangers
But in the end
All bubbles burst or deflate
Leaving us struggling
To find a new stability
A new home
Where we can forget for a while
Our vulnerability

Drones in the sky, why, why?
Incessant buzzing as they fly by.
A plane, a star, or nothing at all
A time to panic, the sky may fall.
Drone, such an apt and fitting word,
Metaphor for the noise always heard.
What’s up above our heads?
Forgetting what’s inside instead.

I use poetry and music to express myself. I feel I do not come off the same way in person that I do when I create my art. I think this is one of those neurodivergent traits, but I cannot exactly self-disgnose. All I can say is that I have trouble with exactly following the dance steps of life.

Woven in the fabric of time is all
the moments of joy you kissed,
and the pain you left behind;
the opportunities barely missed,
and the mistakes that fell in line;
the times where hope persists,
and when sorrows made you shift;

with all your beauty and gifts.

A beast of old, with eyes aflame
Stirs once more to lay claim
An ancient dread, of umbral might
Bringing forth a new week's plight

Oh wretched morn, thy reign hath come
And to thy will we all succumb
Blissful rest now giveth way
Tremble now before its sway
