Stella is such a ham. Here she is hogging the footrest of the recliner as I knit. I liked the hat I came up with for a present so much that I had to knit another for myself out of a special skein of polwarth/seacell yarn in a beautiful variegated green. 🧶 #knitting #Caturday

Also, I recommend to anyone who has a Switch or Switch Lite that’s several years old to open it up and replace the thermal paste. Preferably you should use name brand, but even those little packets of generic paste properly applied will be better than the OEM application of paste.

On a whim, I decided to plug in that Switch Lite I didn’t succeed in repairing earlier this year. After a few minutes of charging, I pressed the power button. I thought I heard a faint sound, so I held it up to my ear and heard the fan spinning very quietly. It can turn on after all!

Went browsing in a used bookstore today, and I came across a particularly cursed title in the craft section: “Mormon Origami”.
Those two words do not belong together, and yes, it really is Mormon-themed origami and not someone’s name.

The problem with most machine-based random number generators is that they’re not TRULY random, so if you need genuine randomness it is sometimes necessary to link your code to an external random process like a physical noise source or the current rate of US tariffs on a given country.

My favorite short hook Tunisian tip is to use a foam stitch stopper at the end of the hook. Stays put better than a hair elastic, and it looks tidier.
