Water Conservation Update

Recent rain has helped, but it's not enough to lift water restrictions.

Lake Major: mandatory
Pockwock Lake: voluntary

While additional rainfall is forecasted, current conditions require continued conservation efforts.

Please keep conserving water—every drop counts!
Today's heavy rain increases the risk of localized flooding, especially if storm drains are blocked by debris.

Halifax Water is encouraging residents to clear blocked storm drains—if it's safe to do so.

Call 902-420-9287 to report blockages.

We understand that raising rates can be tough, especially during challenging times. However, these adjustments are essential to provide clean, safe drinking water and reliable services. Our goal is to return to break even in the next two years while keeping rates among the lowest in Canada!
