Multivariate Resting-State Functional Connectivity Features Linked to Transdiagnostic Psychopathology in Early Psychosis
Early psychosis (EP) is characterized by neurobiological changes, including alterations
in resting-state functional connectivity (RSFC). We now understand that symptoms and

We had a lab meeting today to discuss our feelings and responses to the chaos south of us. Even though it's from 2016, @sarahkendzior.bsky.social's article in The Correspondent was great for helping us frame what we can do. It's worth a re-read, y'all.

Clinical Phenotypes Associated With White Matter Microstructural Abnormalities Across Early Psychoses
Psychosis consists of multiple overlapping clinical symptoms (positive, negative, and cognitive) sharing commonalities in treatment response, familial liability, and risk genes, not only among each other but also with various neurodevelopmental disorders. Despite the reification of conventional diagnostic entities such as schizophrenia and psychotic bipolar disorder as defined by the DSM with its categorical approach, these confusingly coinciding symptom-based psychosis diagnoses both are a poor mirror of nature and fail to reveal biologically meaningful differences among groups (1,2).
