Final SPTpol TE, EE power spectrum from full 4-year data set! "dataset is well-fit by the ΛCDM model, for which we find H0=70.48±2.16 km/s/Mpc and Ωm=0.271±0.026 using only the SPTpol data" Great PhD thesis work from Jody Chou! #southpole

In this new paper led by Joshiwa van Marrewijk we demonstrated that AtLAST’s 50m-diameter provides the highest levels of correlation of atmospheric signals across adjacent detectors compared to smaller apertures: AtLAST will be great at removing submm atmospheric signal on large scales 🔭

The EHTC studied the spectacular flare observed during its second campaign on M87, involving over 25 ground-based and space-based telescopes. The authors report the first observation in over a decade of a high-energy gamma-ray flare.

Being cool, the Spiderweb way 🕸️

Marika Lepore led a re-analysis of the central region of the Spiderweb protocluster at z=2.16, combining Chandra X-ray and ALMA SZ data. And we find evidence for a strongly cooling core.
