@governor.ny.gov has signed the Tax Fairness legislation (A355-C/S1718-B), allowing local governments to opt in to a property tax incentive that makes homes built by Habitat and other nonprofits more affordable for low- and moderate-income families.

On World Habitat Day, East 6th St (between Aves C & D) was co-named Jimmy Carter Way—steps from Mascot Flats, where the Carters joined their 1st Habitat build in 1984. That sparked the Carter Work Project: 108,000 volunteers, 4,400+ homes, 14 countries. A global movement rooted in action & service.
