I freehand crocheted these little ghosts last year and they still make me smile.

They're made with Lion Brand DIY Glow, which has some impressive glow staying power!
I kind of want to make a spiderweb out of it for my window.

I love these little gremlins so much.

I finished my pineapple parasol just in time for the local pride parade! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

It involved a good deal of time and effort (and undoing my mistakes after stowing it away in a closet last year).

Pattern by IraRott - the pattern is great, any mistakes were user error or full inattention on my part. 🧶

Earlier this week, upon remembering that Mothers' Day was approaching, I decided to spend $100 at Michaels and work against time to make some floral embroidery for my Mom.

I think it worked out okay! Except maybe from a botany standpoint - I did a lot of improvising with the flowers.🌻
Embroidery on linen in a grey wood-look frame - it consists of a sunflower, various other nondescript blooms, a monarch butterfly and a pudgy bee. Embroidery in progress. Currently a pink woven rose is being stitched. Supervisor cats doing their job while a person works on embroidery - the black and white cat in the front has her paws on the embroidery hoop, while the black cat in the background looks on. A secret third cat is taking a nap on the bench in the the background!

A very rare moment - never before witnessed, in fact! All three cats coexisting on the same bench.

After completing some other projects, I finally got around to finishing my little pride flag!

It's rather uneven and I'm definitely still getting used to embroidery, but it was a lot of fun! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

I've been bitten by the embroidery bug - more likely contracted the obsession from accidentally poking myself.

Given so many awful world events, it felt appropriate to try a pride flag - it won't really *do* anything, but it keeps my mind occupied.

Just a WIP for now.

I've finished the beginner embroidery kit I bought at Michaels - it's not perfect, but it was a lot of fun!

New hobby unlocked!

(I couldn't get the needle through the beads, so I got some much needed French knot practice instead. And added woven roses. And sparkly thread on the wings. Oops.)
