Just because Bill Belichick is an ass doesn’t mean he should be denied a first ballot Hall of Fame selection. He is a curmudgeon and arrogant but one hell of a football coach. Many coaches selected for the HOF were not as successful in their careers. Like him or not he deserve to be selected.
