I got hit hard with the sads today. It’s hard to get through the holidays without sinking into nostalgia for people and places that are gone forever. I am lucky to have wonderful memories but I feel so profoundly lonely and scared sometimes.

On this day 11 years ago I met Luther for the first time. I was paralyzed by depression and knew I needed a little dachshund. As soon as I held Luther I knew he was my little guy. It was the best decision I ever made.
