I’ve been getting back into 3DS/DS titles. It feels great to play a handheld again. Looking back at my 3DS collection, I primarily played Pokemon, Zelda & Mario & Luigi games.
As much as Switch 1/2 is designed as a handheld, I can’t seem to rewire my brain to think of it as a handheld.

I caught glimpses of the S3 championship. I think only watched a commentated set by Nine, Lily, & Magic.
What a trio. I know the players are what make the games move. But the commentators serve as guides to understanding everything.

Unsure where the Switch 2 goes from here after Metroid Prime 4.

- the internet has made it much easier for people to say things w/o much consequences
- it’s ok to believe in the survivor & due process at the same time & form your judgement after everything
- If you stoked the flames & want to help with the healing, apologize

I do think there is a level of gatekeeping in comp Splatoon. But there is also a sense of “I beat Z so I’m entitled to Y”.
It’s not either or. I think it’s both.
That’s why I think it’s important to prioritize fun. Play with friends. Enjoy tournaments. Play X Rank. Don’t make this your everything.

It’s crazy how consumer shopping is expected to be strong this upcoming holiday season even with the economy slowing down and being hard for many.
I know some parents out there doing their best to make it fulfilling for their kids even if they themselves are struggling. Shout out to them.

I feel like one reason why some gamers have huge backlogs is that they buy the game at release because of FOMO. And end up not playing it or playing it as much because of limited time.
