I think it's perfectly reasonable to take over the dining room table for seedlings...don't you?

Was gifted this canna by a colleague, and it's overwintering on a cool indoor windowsill. Now it's beginning to flower! Are there any canna experts out there? Should i just leave it? I've never overwintered tender plants like this before.

Word of the day, though I’m sure no one will need it, is ‘eye servant’ (16th century): an individual who only pays attention or works hard when the boss is looking.

Took this a few days ago, last of the dahlias here in Wiltshire as sub zero temperatures in the last two days has done for all the remaining flowers in the garden. Anyone else in the UK still have any?

And another random nasturtium....in November of course, haven't planted any here for two years...this may be the beginning of a nasturtium uprising!

Well, hello there! I sprinkled nigella seed on a bare patch in spring, but the ground got totally covered with nepeta as it grew. I cut back the nepeta a few weeks ago, and this little fellow has popped out.
