This cheered me up this morning. The look of joy on this elderly gentleman’s face as he sees the cuckoo working again on Edinburgh’s floral clock….

Congratulations BBC Scotland News ....all that incessant negativity about the Ferguson yard is finally paying dividends! Tell me,do you think the Polish or Turkish state broadcasters have reporters permanently camped outside their shipbuilders waiting to slag them off?

My Dad's been in hospital for 8-9 weeks. Before that he was in sheltered housing with care staff coming in 4x a day for his personal care. His home carers and many of the hospital staff are immigrants. Without these folk the system would collapse. Shame on your party @alisonstaylormp.bsky.social

Just thinking, I’m probably a bit old to form a band now, but if I did, I’d call us Many More.

That way we’d be on the list of acts for every festival in the country.

I’m just wondering if when the US tariffs take effect, there’ll be a huge increase in black market smuggled consumer goods coming in to the USa , and the unintended consequence would be a huge jump in criminal activity similar to the growth of the mafia in the 20’s and 30’s because of prohibition.

Fred, my oldest friend's son, died last month. He was 12.
He was a wonderful boy, with an infectious enthusiasm for food, learning and life.
It was a joy to share his journey, and devastating to say goodbye.
Please read his obituary, share it and be more Fred.
