got a very basic idea of how the city's gonna look. ngl, kinda fumbled by planning the city first, but now we actually know what we wanna include in the demo

and for the island design - it's all slowly coming together

basic location mapping is done and we're pretty happy with the placement

only thing left is to polish it up and actually give the city and the village some real planning instead of just random blobs of geometry lmao

unity terrain is so garbage and painting it is such a bore, so we cooked up our own terrain editor using splines

it's so much faster to just place shapes instead of fighting with a brush for hours

before the city redesign we were wrapping up side quests and this was the OG layout

originally wanted the cages by a tower you'd climb, but putting them on the sides just hits different ngl and actually makes sense lore-wise—those towers were built as protection around the city

fumbled HARD. did details before layout, designed with no quest plan, started with houses instead of blockout. DISASTER!

mapped quests first, blocked it out in Unity. knowing what happens where? game changer,

way more colorful now, palette slaps (thx bubuzy)
