i think nioh 2 is much worse than nioh 1. i don't love a lot of the stuff added to it. i think the yokai realm is just total dogshit, the burst counters feel really finnicky. also the kodama bazar fixes an issue with nioh 1 by adding MORE menus and complications to a game bursting with them.

the issue with historical games like nioh and wo long is that you can never kill bosses after fighting them because they were real guys. but when it's a total pain in the fucking ass boss fight you really really want to kill him and teabag him and fire arrows into his corpse and you can't.

i love tokusatsu but i will admit i never got much into kamen rider because of the lack of female riders and because i just don't think their suits are cool looking. ultraman and sentai suits look badass, the riders look like messes to me.

friend asked me where i'd recommend starting with super sentai and i had to keep it real with them that it's a show for kids so you probably need to have grown up obsessed with sentai/power rangers to really enjoy it.

nioh 3 is so good but my god the performance is horrid. worse than wo long and ronin were on launch. it doesn't even look better than nioh 1 or 2!

case in point how tv used to be to the fucking point: watched the pilot of the x-files and they had those fools investigating the x-files by the 5 minute mark. streaming show would wait till the end of a 1 hour 30 minute episode to even namedrop the x-files.

rewatching xena does make me miss the era of TV when every season would be an order of 24 episodes, so you'd get about 12 heavily choreographed, story-heavy episodes and another 12 of xena, gabrielle and ted raimi dicking around in the new zealand countryside.

almost midnight you know that dog is barking it up in the hallway.
my neighbors are really the quintessential apartment neighbors. they are incredibly loud, seem to use power tools every fucking day, have a loud dog, stomp around constantly, and yell at people on their phones so loud you can hear it from the hallway.
