2K followers! Thank you for your support. As I’ve said before I won’t get into politics here, even though I’m a political animal. I will just keep posting artworks to, hopefully, brighten up your day. Look after yourselves.

My current wip is going to take some time, so in the meantime another of my late wife’s watercolours. From a photo taken at the
Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Not an exhibit but a strange door in a cliff face.

I’m not sure how Blue Sky will handle this image, but here is the full series of my recent post.

I was taking down an exhibition when I noticed a teenager staring at this. “Do you like it?” I asked. “ Yes,” she said, “the colours, the mystery.” So I took it down and gave her it. Why not? I don’t need the money and if I can bring joy to someone I will. Actually it turned out to be her birthday.

Finally finished. Abstract Landscape’Rain over the Hills’. Acrylic on linen, 12”x16” (30x40 cm). I’d always fancied painting on linen but it took a while to find some pre-framed, I’m not totally sure I’ll go back to it. Two other wip are now looking at me expectantly.

Yesterday I was sorting out the dreaded ‘cupboard under the stairs’ when I came across this. Twenty years ago, when I retired, I took up painting, this was my very first effort and the learning process started right away. Still learning.

1.6K followers! Thank you. I know some of you follow due to me liking a political post. While I’m concerned about the horrible things going on in the world I won’t comment. I will attempt, through art, to spread a little light, colour and love into your lives from my own tiny little corner of the UK

Occasionally I get a request for something needed yesterday. Fluorescent paint doesn’t come through too well in photos but I managed this in half an hour for a friend. Acrylic on canvas A4.

Back from my trip, so while I catch up on the washing, cleaning and gardening, here is another of my series of monochrome girls. You might recognise her. A4 acrylic on canvas.

As a general rule I don’t do watercolour, I find it difficult to plan the work before starting . However, a simple sketch on canvas before I depart on a much awaited road trip.

Self portrait, looking very grumpy, not really showing my happy side on this. This was back in the day when I had more hair. Acrylic on canvas A3.
