The Minneapolis shooting shows why content moderation must evolve. Platforms need layered systems: AI that flags violent/false content fast, human experts who add context, and transparent notes that update in real time. Without this mix, disinfo will always spread faster than facts.
How Disinformation About the Minnesota Shooting Spread Like Wildfire on X
Under Elon Musk’s leadership, X has become the perfect platform to supercharge the spread of dangerous disinformation during breaking news events.

While AI can definitely help us make games quicker, I wonder how necessary the urgency is sometimes.

Gamers, I'm curious: Are you willing to wait if, when a game is released, it's fully player-friendly?

Keeping kids safe in #games isn’t just about parental controls. Siblings and friends help younger players spot scams, bad roleplay, or toxic behavior on Roblox and Minecraft. Chatting with trusted peers, using filters, and co-playing with parents can make gaming safer and more fun. #PlayerSafety

#AI in the next Xbox could reshape core gameplay: Smarter NPCs, procedural worlds, neural rendering. Big potential, but also big risks. How should devs balance #innovation with keeping games fair and fun?

Cheating is hitting hard — 80% of gamers in the UK and US have dealt with it online. Nearly half have quit games because of cheaters, and many have stopped spending money.

Now it’s on game studios to step up and make sure players get a better, fairer experience.

Exclusives are fading, and that’s good news for players. Most devs say the future is fewer or timed exclusives, not locked titles. With Xbox and PlayStation already sharing games across platforms, the walls are coming down.

More access and more choice will benefit players AND the industry.

It’s frustrating to see games disappear without clear reasons. Players and devs deserve transparency, especially when payment platforms step in. If content breaks the rules, fine, but the rules need to be clear and applied fairly. #ContentModeration #Games

Microsoft’s reversal on $80 Xbox #GamePricing is a great example of a major publisher listening to players. The Outer Worlds 2 will now launch at $69.99—still steep, but a step back from normalization of higher prices.

Curious to see how this will impact sales moving forward.

Ubisoft’s claim that #microtransactions make games “more fun” misses the mark for many players. For those who already paid $70, that’s hard to swallow.

We’re not against monetization, but respect means giving us real value, not dressing up extra charges as a feature. #PlayerExperience @pcgamer.com

The Supreme Court backed Texas’s tough age-check law, and more states will likely copy it. If you game or stream, expect more ID checks and less #privacy online.

Worth keeping an eye on what these new rules mean for all of us. #InternetRegulation

Even the exec producer of Valorant has said she avoids solo queue due to voice chat harassment.

When players feel safer turning off features than using them, the system isn’t working.

We shouldn’t expect players to self-moderate what the platform won’t.
