And I thought AWW was the most badass comic of this franchise! Sol outranks symbol axe and big sword on the coolness ranking. He's Kelex but like, the Superman Lives version which I fw heavy.
Also love the new take on Brainiac, it's...topical, to say the least.

I am a sworn pacifist. But when it comes to the "punch Nazis" thing I'm a pacifist in the same sense I am for animal rights but will still squash mosquitos and leeches.

They made her straight. Fuck my life.
Anyway pretty good, it has that "superhero threatens to kill people who disagree" thing I don't like that much but it's pretty solid allround. The creature design stays on point.

What can I say? It delivers everything the first issue did but even more brutal, even more complicated, even grander.
Already falling in love with Bruce's poker buddies. Some would call them corny, I call them PEAK. Especially morally ambiguous, buff Penguin.
Still a 5/5

OSWALD YOU SICK SON OF A BITCH, I LOVE YOU!!!
Genuinely a beautiful character study for two beautifully evil characters (although one is a lot more evil). Not as visually magnificent as The Batman but great for TV. Could've used more umbrellas.

You'd think this is just some grimdark Frank Miller ripoff but no, this is a well-thought start of a class story with some classic spy elements, a compelling character analysis, perfect villain setups and captivating action.
Working class Batman fucking slaps.

One of those stories that manages to be very badass and violent and slightly edgy whilst being true to the character at their core.
Greek Gods being lowkey awful as ever which yeah...tracks. Strong thematically with some of the best art of the line.

Oh for this story to be released on the day it did. This is GOOD COMMIE SHIT for my GOOD COMMIE HEART!!!
Classic story of a David Bowie star man fighting against oppression, exploitation and the evil corporation responsible for it.
Very nice thematically and artistically
