Friday's new moon coincides with the sun conjoining my natal Mercury. Last year, I published this post about the latter transit. This year, I'm going to try to use this event as a catalyst for positive change as I embark on a quest for more-gainful employment. I'm not sure that looking for a job in the middle of the holiday season is the right thing to do, but I suppose retailers discover which employees are nothing more than dead weight this time of year.

I woke up this morning feeling energetic and ready to take on the world. I didn't realize that Mars had moved into Capricorn until I read it on "Café Astrology." Mars is speeding through the zodiac right now, so it's only going to be transiting Capricorn for about five weeks. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to moving around a little more as a result of having the red planet transiting my sign.

Middle Fingers (source: pexels.com) Transiting Venus enters my third house this evening where it will remain for exactly one month. "Café Astrology" provides the following interpretation for the annual event: "You are mostly cheerful in your approach to others, and perhaps somewhat intellectual, during this transit. Essentially, you are quite companionable now. You enjoy talking about what interests you, and you find great value in the exchange of ideas.

With Neptune going direct yesterday, we've reached another milepost in this interesting voyage of three of the outer planets as they vacillate between house cusps. When I reread this post I from last year just a moment ago, I was more impressed by the political predictions that I put out into the universe than the fashion advice that I intended to provide when I composed the first entry in this series of posts.

Opportunities (source: pexels.com) I'm feeling quite optimistic this morning. The sun just joined Mars in my third house and my mind is going a million miles a minute. Jupiter is conjunct my midheaven (about to move back into my ninth house), and I feel as if luck is on my side. What's more, transiting Mars is opposing my natal Jupiter, making me revel in my overconfidence and abundant energy levels.

"Café Astrology" offers the following prediction for the transit: "The Sun in this house turns your attention toward your immediate surroundings and increases your interaction with friends, neighbors, relatives and business associates — the people you deal with every day. It is a good time to look at how you handle these casual relationships that are so important for your life.

I've reblogged this post before, but it's as insightful today as it was when I first published it eight years ago. I'm going out with my friend Tracy today. Years ago, we were roommates. I was waiting on tables back then while attending university, and she was a hairstylist. Strangely, we both ended up becoming astrologers. She knows a lot more about asteroids than me.

You may want to break out of your rut but find that you cannot, because some barrier is holding you back from going out and being yourself. Other people may seem to get in your way and interfere with what you are doing.

I was just thinking about the phenomenon of "rejection" because of a strange dream I had last night. Just a moment later, as I was going through my old blog posts for this final day of November, I came across this post I wrote four years ago. It's a rather odd coincidence if I do say so myself. Anyway, I think I'm going to explore my fear of rejection more thoroughly in the new year.

Here's a post I wrote back in 2019 that seems rather prophetic considering that today is American Thanksgiving and Neptune is about to go direct as it prepares to make its final exit from the sign over which it rules. It makes me worry that things are going to get far worse in the USA before they get any better.

Feet on Ground (source: pexels.com) Saturn turns direct this evening at 25°09" Pisces. It turned retrograde back in July and reentered the sign at the beginning of September. It spent about three months in Aries during the warmer months of the year, and it will return to that sign around Valentine's Day next year. Birthday Cake (source: pexels.com) I've been pretty disciplined since I quit my full-time job in March. I haven't been working as much, so I haven't felt the need for a vacation just to get away from the daily grind. However, my birthday is only a few weeks away. I would have planned to spend this milestone event in Las Vegas if it weren't for the fact that I'm boycotting America.

Busy Bees (source: pexels.com) Mars moves into my third house a couple of days from now. Curiously, I've already picked up some extra shifts at my various jobs because I haven't had much to do since the cold weather arrived in this part of the world. My intuition must have been telling me that I would be entering a busier period because I've already got the next few weeks planned out.

This progression becomes exact on Monday: the same day that I start a new project working from home. When I left my full-time job earlier this year, I pitched my appropriateness for tasks like the one I'm about to take on. In addition to the two part-time jobs I currently have, this new gig is more than enough to keep me financially solvent and not bored out of my mind while I look for something more well-aligned with my skill set.

I've got the house to myself for about a week starting tomorrow, just like I did when I published this post two years ago. I'm going to relish this opportunity to be left to my own devices because it doesn't happen nearly enough. In the meantime, this morning's new moon in Scorpio conjunct retrograde Mercury has me feeling as if I can continue to make some positive changes in my life by looking back at what hasn't worked for me.

Siren (source: pexels.com) Venus entered my second house this morning and I already feel its siren song luring me toward financial doom. I made the mistake of "just looking" at the Holt Renfrew early access sale, and now I can't stop thinking about the Margiela Replica trainers I saw in my size for half price. Half price! I know, right?

I guess that I'd better start thinking about who is going to top this year's list. Is it your zodiac sign? Probably not . . .

Clothes (source: pexels.com) I just deleted an email that was sent to me by Holt Renfrew. Holt's is a high-end Canadian department store. The email was a reminder that their big sale starts tomorrow and was meant to encourage me to put some items on my online "Wish List" in anticipation of the imminent markdowns. A moment later, I visited astro.com to read my daily horoscope where I was reminded that Venus enters my second house tomorrow where it will join the sun, Mercury and Mars.

Foot Massage (source: pexels.com) The new moon in Scorpio arrives very late in the evening next Wednesday where I live. When I get out of bed on Thursday morning, the event will have already happened. The sun is currently transiting my second house alongside Mercury, Venus and Mars. When the moon joins it there, five planets will be within the boundaries of this sector of my chart.

Pendulum (source: pexels.com) For an astrologer who spends a lot of time looking ahead, I sometimes get caught off-guard when the planets line up in a manner that I didn't see coming. It's not that I didn't know that they were going to line up that way, but that I wasn't really paying attention. You could say that I choose to live in the moment, or at least in the not-too distant future.
