My last note about 28 Years Later and Bone Temple is that Ralph Fiennes can do anything. What an actor. Handsome and charismatic enough to anchor a movie like Quiz Show, doesn't mind doing a 10 minute cameo in things like Hurt Locker and stealing the show, and is absolutely fearless about his body.

The original Max Headroom TV movie is surprisingly good and still relevant today! Powerful corporations knowingly use harmful tech to increase profits. The line b/t humans and tech are blurred. Uncompromising journalism is critical.

The kid that played young Henry Creel (mostly in the caves) gave the #StrangerThings finale 3.5/5. I agree, but I don't think that's a good career move. lol

What shows started strong but sputtered out b/c they didn't have (or couldn't/wouldn't follow) a plan? Starting w/ the obvious: Lost, The X-Files, & I'd argue Stranger Things. What else?

Glass Onion was funnier, but this was more...thoughtful? Equally good in its own way. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I think the original Knives Out was the weakest of the three. It was definitely good, but not the best.

A ★★★★ review of Wake Up Dead Man (2025)
Not as funny as Glass Onion (which I loved more than the original Knives Out), but equally good.

Widow's Point: The Complete Haunting is definitely scary and does a great job of capturing the "found footage" format in writing. The ending didn't quite do it for me, but it was not unsatisfying. If you like a ghost story around Christmas, this is a good one!

Poltergeist is a classic that still has an influence (e.g., Stranger Things), but the way the mother flips out at the end doesn't really fit with her character throughout the rest of the movie.
To be clear, it does NOT have the "Indian burial ground" trope.
