Latte drinking forester. Public lands owner. West Slope, CO.
If only I could pinpoint the source of my chronic, low-level anxiety.
People always say: "if libraries didn't already exist, you could never create them today."

Well, lots of the stuff MAGA nihilists are destroying right now is like that. We're not just going to put it all back in place when this if over. It's going to take *generations* to repair this shit.

Yikes. Things aren’t going well for freshman Rep. Jeff Hurd. Even his staff is running scared from constituents in (checks notes): DEEP red Montezuma County

School board member in a rural school district here. The callous statement from Eric Maruyama, Polis’s spokesperson in this story, shows how little the governor cares about rural kids.

Balancing the budget on the back of small-town-kids is monstrous.

This, unfortunately, is just a first shot across the bow. Donald Trump and his administration will work every angle to privatize public lands, reduce our access to recreate, and open America’s national parks to mining and drilling.

Here’s the deal: Rep Maloy wants to make it next to impossible to conserve America's parks, public lands, and wildlife. It may be a win for foreign-owned mining companies, but it's a loss for the rest of us.
I just learned that Celeste Maloy — niece of extremist Cliven Bundy — is now in Congress. I kid you not, her first act is to try and make it next to impossible to protect parks and wildlife. maloy.house.gov/uploadedfile...

New UT Rep. Celeste Maloy wants to repeal the #AntiquitiesAct. It’s a wonky thing that may bore the shit out of people, but it matters.

Doing away with the #AntiquitiesAct would make it next to impossible to conserve public lands — and make it easier to fence people out and privatize public lands.
