I had a fairly long “talk” with an LLM earlier about trade, tariffs, Trump, and all of that. Bottom line was without using tariffs strategically all you’re doing is creating enemies and pushing trading partners to find new buyers. Tariffs on goods we don’t even produce here? That’s just vandalism

My understanding is that most farmers voted for Trump. Exports of grains to China, especially Sorghum which is a huge export for American farmers, are facing large tariffs, all while China gets more and more goods from Brazil. They voted for it. Will we have to bail them out? Winning!

Interesting that the only large country with zero tariffs is Russia. But I’m sure that’s a hoax. No tariffs on Belarus either. But there are tariffs on uninhabited islands. I’m sure it’s an oversight that will be corrected. I refuse to eat tariff free borscht.

Forget the $8 eggs, with tariffs galore, especially on Chinese goods, you can expect much higher prices on most everything. Stock market dropping sharply, GDP negative, recession is almost a certainty. WTAF is happening? I’d like a do over.

Florida, among others, is pushing new laws that will make it possible for teenagers, if not younger children, to work before 630am and after 11pm, even on school days to replace the lost labor of immigrants. They are also loosening minimum wage laws. Poor people being exploited, the Republican way.

Had an interesting chat with my investment advisor today. Primarily as we discussed my retirement plans he said based on everything they know and suspect that social security may not be as generous as is projected now and at the very least I need to temper my expectations. Isn’t that wonderful news?

Travel advisories are up across the world for anyone traveling to or simply passing thru the US. Foreign nationals are being warned before traveling to clear their social media of any criticism of the US government as well as the Trump admin may consider you a “threat” if u disagree with them.

In an interview with Steve Bannon he was asked about Trump running again in 2028. Bannon said yes, um, he will run again. We have several ways it’s going to happen. I foolishly still speak to Trump fans, they don’t care. They only believe what Fox has told them.

Trumps administration is hard at work making things better by scouring all government databases and websites and removing all references to black, Hispanic and Asian soldiers buried at Arlington national cemetery. They also are removing references to Colin Powell, and the Tuckaseegee Airmen.
