A really good change landed in Rails last week.
raise_on_open_redirects is deprecated in favor of a new action_on_open_redirect. You can set that to raise, log or notify, so cleaning up your open redirects can be done much nicer for your users.

distance_of_time_in_words was recently changed in Rails to prevent a DoS scenarion and
Darius wrote a little blogpost explaining the change:

Safeguard against DoS in Rails helper
One recent contribution to the Rails codebase caught my attention. It concerns the distance_of_time_in_words method. The fix is meant to prevent a possible Denial of Service while using this method.

Rails 8 comes with a SilenceRequest Rack middleware. It is pretty useful when you want to exclude healthchecks from your logs. If you are on an older version of Rails, you can just put this into an initializer and enable it with 'config.silence_healthcheck_path = "/up"'
