My S1 40W cut the acrylic sample for my suncatcher beautifully - full cut, no scortch, no melt.

I left the protective paper on during cutting - no fire 👍.

Unfortunately, when I peeled the paper off cut acrylic I noticed - it's opaque . . . so it wont work for my suncatcher . . .

Ive cut the wood portions of my crescent moon suncatcher, and tonight I will cut the acrylic.

Had one do-over with the wood as I tested offset and kerf settings.

I'm excited for the acrylic cuts - new material for me.

It's a learning experience!!!

After 5+ years working remotely since COVID, the main thing I miss about being in the office . . . . .

PRINTING

. . . . yeah, so this day derailed within the first hour . . . . .

Looks like I'll be putting in some hours this weekend.

Sitting in front of my screens getting my mind ready to be pulled in a dozen directions.

Stay focused, 1 (or 2) things at a time.

If I get mired in a logic hole, breathe, move to another request.

If I start feeling overwhelmed, step away, make some tea, cuddle with the dog, then come back

Just setup my workbench for some painting tomorrow.

Laser cut a few designs this afternoon, and will be airbrushing and staining during lunch break.

Very excited to be doing some creative projects again.

I finally almost won a game of crockinole against my wife tonight.

I haven't gotten a win in some time - she has gotten so great so quick, while I'm somehow getting worse.

I've tried to limit my consumption of news, but new horrors occur daily.

As a father, I feel an obligation to chronicle events, so that I can explain to my children as they grow older how we got where we are as a country.

All the more important since there is an active effort to re-write history .

It is getting harder and harder every day to process the evil that is being perpetrated in and by the US . . .

Ran my first xTool S1 40W tests on 2"x2" glossy ceramic tile - extremely happy with the results!!

Used a thin coat of TiO2 powder mixed with water and glue.

Still need to dial in settings - especially with converting color jpg to greyscale.

Wife & I bought lots of new tabletop games to add to the collection- some new, several second-hand.

Tonight we played the dexterity puzzle game, The Uzzle.

Simple premise, but a lot trickier than we expected (especially after a gummy).

Need to get this into group play- will def get very frantic!!
