Once nearly wiped out by industrial pollution and relentless hunting, the Baltic ringed seal rebounded thanks to decades of protection.

In Singapore, edible insects are farmed as a high-protein, low-carbon alternative to meat, producing as much as 90% less CO₂ than beef in some cases.
