The Great Grimsby Ice Factory Trust (GGIFT) is a small building preservation trust founded in 2010, with the object of preserving the Grade II* listed Ice Factory and initiating a programme of heritage-led regeneration in Grimsby.

Great GIFT recently completed a project with Associated British Ports & NELC ( supported by National Lottery players and @archhfund.org.uk to restore a 19th Century Grade 2 listed smokehouse and Building 89 Wharncliffe Road, (Fred's Fish) on Grimsby's historic docks (Kasbah HAZ).

In 2008, an advert named January 22 as "Grimsby Day." Jan 22 has no basis in fact or history. But it overshadows 11 March, the actual anniversary of the day Grimsby was granted its charter. So for 2025 we say make 11 March Great Grimsby Day grimsbyice.co.uk/grimsbyday.h...

Had a great trip on the mail train with Friends of the Barton Line back in 2019 - a bit of a tight squeeze but great fun.
Today marks 8 years of Mail Rail at The Postal Museum, opening up a small section of the former Post Office Railway beneath the streets of London. I've been with the museum for much of that time, driving the trains and leading tunnel tours before joining the Estates team a couple of years ago.
