Huh, so the cheapo $20 switch 2 dock I got on Amazon broke with the latest firmware. Checked today and another company with suspiciously similar hardware published a firmware update. Gave it a test, firmware patched (since it's definitely the same board) and it works again!

Thread makes some decent points, but it doesn't acknowledge that ones public enjoyment of good art by bad artists is a vector for keeping that art alive in the public consciousness, making new fans and new sources of revenue for said terrible people. Its like the Ender's Game movie and funding OSC.
This is less a subtweet, and more of a thought I just want to get out there:
Bad people can make good art.
When a game that people liked turns out to have been made by someone shitty, it doesn't instantly become bad. You don't have to go full Sour Grapes on it. Two things can be true at once.

My thoughts on this weekend are mostly:
- It's ok if people are transphobic at your venue because the victims will just leave and you don't have to deal with them anymore.
- it's unrealistic to think an employee should be fired for chasing a trans woman out of a bathroom and being smug about it

Reminder: Review scores are important and when an store does something utterly reprehensible, it's more than enough cause to leave a scathing public review on any number of review sites.

The only way to ensure media isn't lost is decentralized archival. You aren't stealing, you're ensuring future generations can partake in the media large companies don't care to maintain. We've seen half a dozen times now that """piracy""" is the only reason certain game re-releases are possible.
