My oldest is making Hamburger Helper. He’s done this several times before. Dara is helping him with the process. It’s very sweet & I’m trying not to laugh when he gives me the look like, “Mom I appreciate you but I got this!” 😂❤️ THIS is a big reason why I fall more in love with her daily. ❤️❤️❤️

Y’all, as I’ve said before, I can retire from teaching in 2 more years after this one. I plan to. OR! I stay on & dig deep into the subversive/creative ideas I’ve always treaded lightly *around* but this time with reckless abandon. Why not? And, I will proudly sponsor the queerest student club.

Walked into my house & see my oldest’s (Eli) girlfriend & a young person I’ve never met. “Hey, if you ever need flowers, here’s my business card. I’ve had my shop for a year.” (again, still have never met this young person 😂) I say, “Hi, I’m David. Nice to meet you. Is Eli here?” #BeardenHostel 😂❤️
