Gone for a ball of chalk.

SE UK.
We used to watch five semi-feral dogs take turns shagging one another near the school gates as we trooped daily to the chip shop chaining B&H.

They were the days.

Okay suggestions for a keyboard switch compatible with cherry MX hot swaps that has a click but no clack? Smooth as coconut fat, almost silent, lightweight with satisfying ping back?

Better go get this detached tendon sorted as I can't chop vegetables or pour the kettle. Poor old abductor pollicus longus.

First time using Diet Pi. Tried on x86. Tried on old low powered laptop. With MPD. Boots up a running Jukebox with MPD. Got it turning off the screen on lid close and shutting down on power button. With power throttling and no active wireless I might eek out hours on this beastie under 5w.

Tries to get consistent 100wpm on 'fast' mechanical keyboard. Spits out over 100wpm on laptop and Apple scissor switches.

Going back to the drawing board and getting AI to pencil up typing exercises, for 15min drills.

“I have met some very bad people,” Epstein wrote in a 2017 email. “None as bad as Trump. Not one decent cell in his body.”

In other messages, Epstein described Trump as a “maniac” showing signs of “early dementia”

(Makes Epstein sound so reasonably level headed!)

Rishi's boiler promises are all hot air. These grants were limited in number anyway. Typical of Labour failing to address the environment. One wonders why Miliband bothers to turn up to work. Guess he's waiting for Starmer to fall down a man hole. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Watched 'The Invisible Woman' last night. A nice little film. Amazes me that these films don't do better. It's a little bleak, like 'Eric', but again a production with a bunch of wonderful players. Forgot how great Felicity Jones is, she was also fab in 'Theory of Everything'. Fiennes owns it.

1. In the wake on Mamdani’s win, we’ll see a lot more far right anti-urban sentiment. Here’s a thread on its roots and evolution.

The idea that the city is evil and corrupt, and the countryside innocent and pure, goes back a long way: to Theocritus in Alexandria, and to the Old Testament. 🧵
