After former Rep. Granger missed six straight months of votes and we didn’t realize, we set up this alert. It’s for us as much as our users. We can’t know if someone is missing votes until it’s happened. _Then_ we find out why (if we can; sometimes legislators won’t say) and update the page.
Given that Speaker Johnson has made very effective use of Rules Committee resolutions to solve or avoid other issues in the house, I was curious if the Rules resolution for the continuing resolution would have anything extra in it. It does not. Short and sweet and only about the CR:

I chart how 60s' liberals' frustration with House minority rule in their own party led us to a different kind of minority rule now, unintentionally accelerated by Pelosi's iron grip as Speaker. Johnson's turned the strong speaker model into a WH appendage, so we need a new one

What's in the Continuing Resolution/ Minibus deal for the Legislative branch? I crunched the numbers, read the bill, and analyzed the committee report. Here's a quick analysis--with the hope that 'quick' and 'analysis' is not an oxymoron.

Key takeaway: it doesn't protect the power of the purse.
