No amount of listening to youtube videos can prepare you for the visceral nature of a (male) kiwi call a few meters from you.

It really does sound like a woman dying.

Huh. 5 years since NZ went in to Covid lockdown.

Also 5 years of living with my partner.

Look, if you're struggling to balance your job and your art / photography practice, as a former corporate leader, I'm here to tell you: That's what sick days are for. Life is short, so take every opportunity you can.

I'm kind of tired of US wilderness/photo influencers who played the "both sides" and "politically neutral" cards for years, suddenly turning around and claiming to have never said that.

Yes. There is a problem.

Yes. You were a part of it.

Mitch and the legislative may have realised they've lost control and that Musk is running over their power.

Judicial is slow, and doesn't have many effective means of actually imposing it's will (I think? My knowledge of US civics is shaky TBH)

It's true. For every other country, it's a startling wake up. I'm hoping it doesn't fade in the next 16 months or so until my next election (possibly sooner if this coalition breaks...)

It's also a question of how the US reacts to the Executive arm of government acting like this.

In other countries opinions and political capital still matter. Trump is literally burning other countries political capital.

It's not just Canada either, Germany has massive protests against the AfD prompted by Elon/JD legitimising them.

Locally our paper tissue of a PM from last election who got voted out, is suddenly jumping in polls.

I think there's a very recent push back on all of those movements. It seems people have looked at the endgame (Trump) and said "No thanks".

It's still early... polls are always finicky, but taking a look at the upcoming Canadian election. You can practically see it in action.

If it makes you feel better - it looks like your massive cluster fuck is pushing a lot of other countries left.

Heres hoping my green party can get a decent % and take us down the good path.

I'm a little bit sad that Alex Burke doesn't make more "content"

I get very not calm from this image at first glance.

I got on the piss slightly unnerving, slightly anxious from it.

Which is super cool that we can both look at it and get wildly different feelings from it.

I'm finally starting to produce (photographic) work again.

I have work thats starting to look like a larger project.

But with the likes of Open AI hovering everything they can get their hands on... I'm very not inclined to share that work. At least not without a lot of thought.
