I'm geologist Kathelijne Bonne and 🐚GondwanaTalks 🌋 is my multilingual blog. It is a microcosm in which I write about earth science, interspersing the posts with philosopical questions on our human role in nature.🪸
Richard Fortey, #paleontologist and expert in #trilobites, passed away this spring. Read my #tribute to a great writer who influenced important choices in my #life.

Fuerteventura, one of the Canary Islands, has astonishing #soilscapes. This #island became a desert after centuries of erosion. Its volcanic colours range from ochre to red, black and mauve. Life clings to rocks, dew and skeletic soils. 🤎🩵🧡
