Just a little mise en place before trying out a new tool and technique 🤞 Slowly getting pen making back on track now that the water damage is addressed.

Big hole in the wall is repaired. Bench and essential tools are back in place so I can start turning again. Going to slowly reassemble the rest and make improvements - dedicated lathe stand, new storage.

And finally catching up on the backlog. A Spindle in McKenzie Penworks Clarity for a return buyer. Mid-capacity eyedropper (3.25-3.5ml). This had better be my last demo for a while 🤣

Today we have an Augur in Harley from Fountain Telling. This one has a brass detail in the section to mix things up, and a high satin finish (I'm thrilled how much luster and depth the blank has even without a gloss polish). This is the second Augur in the wild. Still refining the shape and process.

After enough obsession I'm ready to send this one out to Nibcake Workshop. Custom dimensions, including three sections! (Jowo 6, Bock 250, and Bock 380) They wanted clearance for stacks and big nibs, and a fun demo to show off their work. Blank is Blaze Orange Tint Demonstrator from The Pensmiths.

I don't think it's production ready, but my personal prototype of a stainless steel clip feels preeeetty good. Material is McKenzie Penworks rocky top, hand cut and hammered stainless steel clip, Bock nib compatibility. #fountainpen

Today's quick project, a stowable shower curtain spray skirt to use when wet sanding and polishing. Extra important since my cleat wall isn't sealed or anything, and I have more tools directly in the splash zone.
