You know what the game industry does need? Reviews of game making tutorials. Some of these are wildly low effort, out of date, or completely unable to be finished.

Netflix buying WB means I guess they technically own the Nemesis System now? There's no way that they'll allow its use without some kind of licensing deal probably. What a mess the courts made with that ruling.

It seems like Marvel Cosmic Invasion just decided to lift everything from classic arcade beat em ups without thinking about modern design. It's a shame because it looks visually amazing and we need good new entries in the genre

I'm listening to a podcast and they're talking about how they couldn't finish Silksong, didn't like playing it, but it was a great game and a game they loved playing was actually bad. I've been doing games criticism a long time, I think it's time to just admit everything is our opinion

The way Battletech has sold its light mechs was always funny to me. Like why ever be a light mech pilot? You read the Locust, Wasp, and Stinger battle histories and it's like "Oh ya here's a battle where we lost 40 of these pieces of trash. Good thing we had 200 more."

Whew, I went ham yesterday on DriveThru got a ton of ttrpg stuff on sale. Like 5 Classic Battletech books, Ashes Without Number (to complete the set), Ryuutama, and I think the last Fabula Ultima I didn't own which was the Nature one, I gotta ban myself from the site for another 6 months lol
