This is one of four excellent articles intended for use in the classroom. The others in that special issue focus on decolonial, phenomenological, and critical participatory action research. They are student-friendly and historically embedded descriptions that make clear how to do each one well!
"Person-centered narrative analysis: A methodological retrospective and primer" by Phillip Hammack & Ruthellen Josselson in @apajournals.bsky.social. Situates PCNA within the qualitative revolution in psychology to restore a focus on individual meaning awspntest.apa.org/doiLanding?d...

It's been a journey, but very thankful to those who supported its development and possibility of it making a good academic text: Margaret Beale Spencer, Fathali Moghaddam, Seamus Power

Today and tomorrow we are hosting #SQIP2025 meetings at Marquette University. It's been great to welcome so many students and other scholars to Milwaukee to share about qualitative methods and psychological science!

My first solo-authored book is coming out in July with @cambridgeup.bsky.social! It has been a long journey, starting with my dissertation work in Colombia 10 years ago. I am excited to see it out (with a big thank you to the colleagues, mentors, & many others who supported the ideas and work).

Excited to share a think piece on AI and education that Larry Zhiming Xu and I put together for Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute blog.

We proposed an integrated approach rooted in safety and developmental psychology.

Panic? It’s certainly a keyword that captures the sentiment around AI in education today. With AI dramatically changing how students learn and how teachers teach, schools are scrambling to keep up in the homework apocalypse. But instead of panic, it’s time to plan one that integrates AI safely while empowering students and teachers. By focusing on age-appropriate use and open communication, schools can turn AI from a threat into an ally in education.
